The Mandarin Motel Macksville is the most modern 4-star motel in the Nambucca Valley.

Situated in the mid-North Coast, Within 49 km of Coffs Harbour International Stadium and 50 km of Coffs Harbour Education Campus, the Mandarin Motel in Macksville is an ideal place to stay for all kinds of travellers. It is a perfect place to stopover halfway on your drive between Sydney and Brisbane, for corporate travellers working in the area, as well as a comfortable and welcoming base for a longer stay should you take the opportunity to explore the attractions of the stunning Nambucca Valley and surrounding areas. We are also a convenient 35-minute drive to Coffs Harbour and 1 hour drive to Port Macquarie for short road trips to some destination beaches.

The motel is located in a peaceful area of the town centre, just minutes from the Nambucca River, beautiful beaches, shops, RSL club and parks. As a 4-star motel, we offer 22 spacious, well-appointed and clean rooms prioritising your comfort. For your convenience, all of our rooms have walk-in showers and comfortable work desks, as well as undercover parking for all of our guests. Our different room offerings also include additional unique facilities such as kitchenettes and spas. We also provide easy access ground floor rooms for people with disabilities or special needs. Was moving my son and his young family from Penrith to the Sunshine Coast and was hoping to have left at 5am. But the truck I was to drive was not completed and we ended up 8hours late. My wife and I had never driven past Newcastle so it … More was a big venture for all of us. Low on fuel and deciding to find a place to stay, we stopped off at Kempsey and could not find suitable two room accommodation, checking on six establishments. Getting late, we headed to Macksville and found the Mandarin, late at night. Concerned for the security of the truck, the owner came out, and backed me down a secure driveway. While my wife and I got settled, my son and family turned up also needing a secure park and he too, was guided into an area where we could see both vehicles from our rooms. Very comfortable beds, spacious rooms and large clean bathrooms. We met together in the restaurant in the morning for a huge, cooked breakfast. Thank you for taking us in so late at night, and helping us keep our loads in a secure area. Macksville, and the Mandarin, have been shared amongst our family and friends as a saviour for people that were lost yet made welcome in desperate conditions. Thank you.

Aircon switch is next to the main door. Can switch is far away from the bed and the fan isn’t exactly where it should be.

Our first stay at the Mandarin and know this motel will be our go to again. The host Mei Ling was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was spacious and very clean. We had a continental breakfast in the Motel's sunfilled breakfast room … More which was generous and a great way to start the day. Location is fabulous a short walk to several great choices for dinner. We dined at the Macksville Hotel. Had the Thursday night special Surf and Turf. Steak cooked exactly as requested with seafood topper - delicious food and lovely atmosphere.

it’s not often you walk in a hotel and you know it was looked after with love, but Mandarin was just one of these places where despite it being probably almost 20 years old, you can just tell the owners really cared for it and looked after … More it.
It felt comfortable and nice and it brings joy to our family to just stay there, and I promise you I don’t say this easily!
It felt clean, and it felt pleasant.
I never really been to Macksville before and I will totally come back just to stay at Mandarin again!
Meiling and Jason made such a difference for the joint. Courteous, kind. It was just a joy to deal with as well.

The place was very spacious and clean and the manager couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. Everything was within walking distance.The breakfast room was an added bonus.

The service and the facilities were fantastic. I was pleasantly surprised at the standard of the facilities. My room was welcoming and recently refurbished. The bed was very comfortable, I had an excellent night sleep. The motel’s location was excellent only a short walk away from several restaurants.

A cut above the average motel. Lovely big rooms, very clean and comfortable, free WiFi and laundry. Friendly helpful owners. Nice continental breakfast.

Friendly service by the host. Stayed up a little longer waiting for me to arrive and cooked my muffins for me in the morning.

Travelling up from Sydney to Brisbane the Mandarin Motel was the perfect place to have a break. The room was spotless and the bed really comfortable.

Am a Golden Chain member and stay in Golden Chain Motels because the standard of cleanliness and condition of rooms is usually quite high so have stayed in many Golden Chain Motels.. Mandarin Motel is a platinum Motel and is probably the best one I have stayed in.. Have stayed twice in the last 2 months and both times very clean, a lovely big room with very modern facilities.. MeiLing is a delight to deal with.. Highly recomended

As good as or at least equal to the best country motel i have stayed. The cleanliness was exceptional, the rooms just so spacious and very well appointed. The Manager could not have done another thing. Friendly, polite and highly professional. Have stayed in 100's of motels throughout Australia in my working career and this one tops the lot. Congratulations well done and keep the standard as it is. I hope an opportunity comes again to stay.

Staff very friendly, polite and helpful. Very clean, quiet and well equipped room. Great location easy 5-10 min walk to river, shops, restaurants and park. Free wifi available for an hour although I had trouble accessing it. I didn't speak to staff as it was late and I had my own data anyway. Happily stay again.

Could not fault this motel. Room very clean ,large, and bed very comfortable . Manager was extremely helpful at all times . Cars under cover which was a plus for us as we were in our MG . The RSL on opposite ,just around the corner . Very quiet and friendly . Would not hesitate staying there in the future .

This was our second stay and like the first time everything was excellent. The manager was very friendly & helpful and check in was quick. The room was large and very clean as was the bathroom. Undercover parking is a big plus for us . We would always stay here when in Macksville.

We enjoyed an overnight stay at The Mandarin motel on our way to the Gold Coast from Sydney. It was the first time we had broken our journey in Macksville and we will definitely stay again. We were in room 10 and it was large for a motel room and was very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and large. The bed was on the firm side. Internal parking was also a plus for us.

Have stayed here overnight several times, and look forward to doing so again. Would not consider booking anywhere else. On different occasions have booked a room for a couple, and a family unit for 3 adults - each time the bedding has been as required, and been clean and comfortable. Each time the room/unit has been spacious and very well supplied with all necessities, especially kitchen crockery/cutlery/utensils in the family units. The Manager has happily looked after us with our late night arrival. A great motel!

We found this hotel really welcoming and a great comfortable stay. Rooms are clean, quiet and of good size. If you are driving up to Brisbane or down to Sydney this location is perfect for a stop over and this Motel wont disappoint.

Stayed on our way to Qld was a great choice. Hosts are extremely friendly, room was well appointed clean and with secure parking. All this made us return on our way home. The location was handy to everything we needed good food and access to local attractions. Would recommend staying.

I have stayed here quite a few times and the staff are always friendly and offer the bast nightly rate they can. The rooms are clean, spacious and have everything you need (even coffee bags not cheap instant). Close to town and secure parking. I recommend this motel.

A nice motel which is very quiet, clean and comfortable. I have used it on a number of trips between Sydney - Brisbane- Sydney. It is a good stopping point and I always feel welcome. Macksville is only a few kilometres off the freeway so very convenient Always best to book direct with the motel

Traveling from Sydney on compassionate grounds to Bowraville we needed somewhere close by to stay. Mandarin Motel proved an excellent choice. An extra bed, toaster & microwave were provided so we could be self sufficient during the Covid-19 restrictions. Many thanks.

Our car broken down late Friday night, Meiling & Jason were friendly and helpful in adding a trundle bed into the room for our family. They also stayed at reception until 11:30pm when we checked in. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean and tidy.

A nice motel in a quiet and central location, clean and comfortable. A great half way point when travelling between Gold Coast - Sydney - Gold Coast. Macksville is only a few kilometres off the freeway so very convenient. Very gracious & obliging Hosts - nothing is too much trouble. We stayed during the recent flooding and needed to reschedule our trip several times due to road closures and Meiling was most flexible with our requirements. Remember to book direct with the motel for the best rates.

We stopped there for one night. Meiling was very friendly and accommodating. Suite was spacious and very clean. Very close to Nambucca Heads.
